Academic CV

B.F.A. Visual Media Arts
Emerson College’s renowned Film & Media Arts program shaped my early training in visual storytelling.
-
Following my graduate studies in Visual Anthropology, my work has woven across disciplines—interlacing academic inquiry, journalistic storytelling, and fine art practice.
I presented original visual ethnography at the Graduate Visual Anthropology Program at Freie Universität in Berlin, and shared interdisciplinary media work at THREAD at Yale University.
My post-graduate projects include published journalistic pieces and fine art photography exhibited in several respected local galleries specializing in lens-based work.
This body of work reflects a deep commitment to visual culture as both method and message, where research, narrative, and image form a cohesive, multilayered practice.
-
With over 15 years of experience in academic technology and more than a decade teaching media arts and software at the collegiate level, I bring a deep, hands-on understanding of how people learn, create, and innovate. My consulting work spans advanced research programs in brain science and instructional design, as well as corporate engagements leveraging my skills in data science and digital strategy. Alongside this, I’ve maintained an active practice as a working astrologer—not just studying the stars, but serving clients across industries—which has given me a rare, holistic perspective on human insight, systems thinking, and real-world transformation.
-
My deepest education has come through life itself.
I’m a mother, a boots-on-the-ground educator, lifelong artist, and a seeker of healing.
I’ve taught across K–12 and university classrooms and have experienced working with vast types of learners.
I healed a chronic, highly visible health condition. This condition was explicit in symptom nature & not psychosomatic at all. However, it taught me about both the peaks & pitfalls of ALL global medicines & the type of scientific inquiry required to get your own body back to stasis. And how what happens to our corporeal self requires mental/ emotional integration to move forward — even after removing the poison.
The “interventions” that western medicine attempted to provide were insane and risky & would have permanently damaged my body if I had agreed. The solutions eastern medicine offered exacerbated the skin’s inflammatory response.
I was told I was cursed with a genetic health condition — however— through sheer persistence, decades of herbalism study and curiosity, I finally discovered the actual real chemical culprit that was wrecking havoc against my immune system.
There is a delicate balance between not giving up & surrendering to what is — and I have surfed that Marie Curie wave for decades.
My art and healing work span disciplines, time zones, and maybe even lifetimes.
I don’t just believe that breaking generational curses is possible … I see it as the essential initiation of the true Astrologer, the first rite of passage in reclaiming cosmic agency
