  • Manilius's Astronomica

A 5-Week course for the Hellenistic Certification track at Kepler College

This short course would be a fascinating exploration into Astronomica for the first time reader. Marcus Manilius, the poem’s author, has plenty of wisdom to offer in their 5 book didactic poem on astrology.

Focused on both technique & historical contexts for a multiplicity of astrologies & mythos : presented at Kepler College, September 2025.

  • The Harmonious Gods

A 12-Week Masterclass on the Dii Consentes

This 12-week immersive course is a deep dive into the Dii Consentes—the twelve divine figures at the heart of Roman cosmology, whose presence has echoed across centuries of artistic, medical, and metaphysical thought. Each week, we’ll step into a new temple, exploring the creative dominion of a different deity and the crafts, powers, and poetic sensibilities they bestowed upon the world.

We’ll explore how these deities shaped ancient understandings of harmony—vital to both the medical arts and the creative disciplines—tracing their influence through the astrological writings of Manilius, the humoral frameworks of Galen, and the Neoplatonic revival of Ficino in Renaissance Florence.

Through readings, discussions, and creative prompts, we’ll draw connections between Imperial Rome and 15th-century Neo-Platonic Italy.

Discover how the Dii Consentes continue to guide us in remembering and honoring the healing and generative forces within each & every one of us.
